This Fishing Boat Has Legs!

This 30-foot outboard-and-electric-powered amphibious oddity has a set of hydraulically deployed legs and treads that can amble along over asphalt and saunter over the sand at jogging speeds (top end on land is about 4.3 mph). Drive it right into the water, press a button, and the legs and treads retract into the hull — and then in its fully aquatic form the Iguana can bolt across the bay at up to 55 mph.

Iguana has been making amphibious boats since 2011, but the X Fisher is the builder's first dedicated fishing model. It comes fully rigged with rod holders, a macerated fishbox, a livewell, and a raw water washdown, and has a fishy center-console layout that's very much like those of modern saltwater fishing boats.
