From beautiful scenics around the country to happy moments onboard, boating opens our eyes to images we don’t get to experience otherwise. Here are some of the winning photos from our members this year

Low fog over Marblehead Harbor

“The morning fog remained low over the water along the many boats moored in the harbor,” says Francisco Urena of Massachusetts. “From a high vantage point I launched my drone to capture this image with Marblehead Light in the center.”

Misty waterfall

“Soaring nearly 2,000 feet above the ocean, this stunning waterfall above Alaska’s Misty Fjord provides a dramatic backdrop to the 90-foot Ocean Alexander Voyager in the photo,” says John Gardiner of Washington.

Who’s minding the boat?

Ray Strychalski of Georgia captured this photo of his golden retriever Zuzu and his three “grandpups” when he stopped to take a swimming break.

Jump for joy!

“Anchored out on my friend’s boat, my grandson couldn’t resist jumping off and showing his talent while his ‘Pop Pop’ was on the PWC with his brother,” says Lisa Almeida of Florida. “It’s all smiles and joy.”

“Charleston never disappoints!” says Florida resident Vicki Boileau. “Docking at the City Marina in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, can be breathtaking.” She says the photo was captured as the sun was setting. “The cloud cover produced excellent lighting.”

The joy of getting up

“This is the first time my grandson got up on the wakeboard,” said Lisa Almeida of Florida. “Everyone on board, including my dog, Matey, was excited and celebrating with him.”

“This image was taken the evening of the summer solstice on Lake Ontario,” says Lou Borrelli of New York. “We were evening fishing for salmon and trout.”
